Job Description: Project Manager (PM) is a role within the Information Technology (IT) Corporate team. The PM ensures stakeholder satisfaction and maintains awareness of business needs and priorities within the scope of his/her project. The PM delivers agreed outcomes from projects using appropriate management techniques, collaboration, leadership, and governance, establishing team structures and a collaborative working environment.
This role takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation, and satisfactory completion of projects. He/she provides effective leadership to the project team, adopts appropriate project management methods and tools, manages the change control process, and assesses and manages risks. He/she also prepares realistic plans and ensures that they are maintained and delivers regular and accurate communication to stakeholders.
The PM ensures project and product quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure. Ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale, and resource budgets, and are formally accepted by appropriate stakeholders. Monitors costs, times, quality, and resources used and acts where performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
Detailed responsibilities include: Define the project objectives, scope, deliverables aligned with the business strategy.Set deadlines and milestones, phases or waves if needed, and prepare a feasible plan to achieve the goals.Prepare, submit, own and control project budget. Supports preparation of business case.Prepare and launch RFQ or RFP process, assess vendor responses and lead the IT-related discussions until the selection of the best partner for the project and final signature of the statement of work.Guide and manage the vendor within the scope of the project.Identify the resources and skills required for the project.Lead a cross-functional project team composed of both internal and partner's members to the successful delivery of the project.Monitor project progress and manage dependencies with other projects and areas. Use the corporate tools for project tracking and reporting.Keep relationship with project stakeholders, communicate and report progress and keep open to their feedback, being able to adapt the messages to the audience.Communicate and report progress to IT management and colleagues. Actively participate in the required governance bodies.Ensure that projects are formally closed, reviewed and handed over to the support team.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or master's with relevant IT or Computer science background.Relevant experience leading IT implementation programs/projects as a program/project manager.Project Management certification desired.Exceptionally collaborative, flexible, and adaptable when working with stakeholders, vendors and various IT teams.Excellent soft skills at all levels within an organization, with the ability to communicate complex technology solutions to senior business stakeholders.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with all levels within the business as well as with IT teams.Excellent team management and leadership skills.Additional Information: Preferred locations: Spain, Portugal, Italy
