We build a robust and comprehensive technology infrastructure, maintain an effective operational environment, and deliver high-quality, timely, cost-effective, and reliable technology services.JOB SUMMARYThe EBU is seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Project Manager to join our international team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, initiating, and managing a variety of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This role involves bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution, specifically focusing on web development and web services projects. The IT Project Manager will lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFunctional Management:Collaborate with business/member service units to gather detailed requirements and understand their IT needs.Conduct interviews, surveys, and meetings with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive requirement gathering.Analyze business processes and workflows to identify and document detailed IT requirements.Translate business requirements into clear, concise technical specifications and user stories for development teams.Ensure requirements are communicated effectively to all stakeholders and development teams.Project Management:Plan, initiate, and manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.Use project management software to track progress, manage tasks, and communicate with team members.Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards.Stakeholder Communication:Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, member services, technical teams, and third-party vendors.Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to review project status, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with business goals.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met.Quality Assurance:Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards and align with business requirements.Implement and maintain best practices for project management and software development to ensure high-quality outcomes.Conduct regular quality reviews and audits of project deliverables, identifying areas for improvement.Technical Oversight:Stay updated with the latest technology trends, advancements, and industry best practices.Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to enhance IT services and improve efficiency.Ensure the IT infrastructure supports current and future project requirements, scalability, and security needs.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum 7-10 years of experience in IT project management, particularly in web development and web services.Proven experience as an IT Project Manager or similar role.Strong background in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects.Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans.Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).Familiarity with software development life cycles and IT infrastructure management.Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in English.Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.DESIRED ATTRIBUTESAdvanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL) are a plus.Ability to adapt to new technologies and flexible working hours.Commitment to the values of teamwork, respect, accountability, creativity, and service excellence.ONCE ON BOARD YOU WILLBe part of an outstanding, diverse, and inclusive multicultural and international team.Work with accomplished and engaging professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds, covering an impressive range of professions both in and outside of the broadcasting realm.The EBU is an equal opportunities employer committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels heard, safe, and valued through a culture free of discrimination.
