The role is multifaceted, encompassing leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to drive growth and overall success.
Responsibilities and Main Tasks: The candidate will have ultimate accountability for the company's performance, including full P&L management.
They will be required to develop a compelling and focused vision for growth and create strategic growth plans and a financial roadmap within the next 3-5 years.
They will work closely with the Board to develop the company's strategy and operating model, ensuring transparent reporting and close collaboration with Board members.
They will be an ambassador for the organization and will be key in helping take MFE's unique offering to market to build the commercial pipeline.
In parallel, the expectation is that the General Manager will lead CRI's revenue generation and business development efforts, and effectively manage and operationalize organic growth potential within the existing portfolio and new initiatives across the country and industries.
Finally, the General Manager will be accountable for the development/evolution of the organization to ensure they have the resources, systems, processes, environment/culture, and capability to deliver against the strategic plan.
Minimum Requirements: Proven leadership of a business/division with true accountability across all commercial, financial, operational, and technical functions.
Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience in the chemical and/or adjacent sectors where an understanding of capex project development and execution is needed.
A commercially strong leader with an ability to understand technology and differentiation.
Strong connections in relevant industrial segments (i.e., chemicals, new energy, power generation, steel and non-ferrous, cement industries).
Has an understanding and passion for different components of the decarbonization/net zero/circular economy agenda.
Proven experience in developing and implementing commercial strategies.
The role has a strong initial focus on business development, commercial strategy, and stakeholder management.
Track record for taking a structured approach to building organizational capacity and culture.
Experienced with working in international collaboration and cross-cultural communication.
Comfortable with uncertainty while still making meaningful decisions.
Entrepreneurial spirit, tenacity, and strong drive to achieve results.
Dynamic with proven energy and stamina to see solutions through to success.
