The Position We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to join our Digital Workplace team.
As a Senior IT Technical Consultant in the Digital Workplace Collaboration & Productivity Section, part of the Site Experience & Digital Workplace Chapter of Roche Informatics, you will join a team of experts in technology working to provide the tools and technologies that are connecting more than 150,000 users, enabling them to work and collaborate efficiently.
In collaboration with local and global Business Partners and Stakeholders, you will be providing technical consultancy to clients and affiliates across all divisions and locations at Roche, providing solutions to our Digital Workplace with state-of-the-art technology in a modern and collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, a passion for enhancing the employee digital experience, and a certification as a Google Administrator. This role will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing digital solutions that support our dynamic workforce.
Responsibilities
As day-to-day responsibilities, you will:
Lead the design, implementation, and support of our Digital Workplace solutions using Google Workspace and other modern digital technologies.
Act as a subject matter expert for digital workplace technologies, providing guidance, technical consultancy, and support to users and stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure seamless integration of digital tools and platforms to enhance productivity and collaboration in partnership with other IT areas.
Manage and optimize Google Workspace environments, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
Proactively identify and address potential issues, implementing preventative measures to maintain system integrity.
Leverage Artificial Intelligence to enhance digital workplace solutions and improve user experience.
Utilize AI technologies to analyze data and provide actionable insights for optimizing workplace performance.
Explore and integrate AI capabilities in collaboration tools to enhance communication and productivity.
Manage 3rd level Business Critical incidents and requests, including escalation management.
Document solutions and processes: Create clear and concise documentation to guide future use and maintenance.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

You have strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Experience and Technical Skills
Certified Google Administrator with hands-on experience managing Google Workspace environments (Google Core, Mail, Calendar, Drive, Chat, Spaces, Meet, Editors).
Understanding of standard email protocols, authentication methods, and networking basics (SMTP, IMAP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
Strong hands-on technical skills and working experience with infrastructure technologies and business applications.
Strong understanding of modern workplace technologies.
Additional technical knowledge that will be a plus:
Microsoft (Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange).
Experience in Email Transport through Secure Email Gateways (Fortimail, ProofPoint, Fast path or any other MTA).
Experience in designing and providing solutions aligned with standards, security, validation, capacity, and high availability to fulfill complex business needs while identifying associated risks.
Experience with AI technologies and their application in digital workplace solutions, and knowledge of machine learning, natural language processing, and AI-driven automation tools.
Knowledge in ServiceNow or another ITSM solution.
Experience in scripting against API with languages like Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
