For our client, we are looking for an IT Hub Manager in Barcelona or Madrid. Our client stands for safety and quality in virtually all areas of business and life. Founded almost 150 years ago, the company is one of the world's leading testing service providers. To support their global teams of IT experts, they have newly established their IT Hub Spain as part of their network of global IT Hubs. The goal is to accelerate the digital technologies for their internal customers focusing on the development and support of mission-critical IT products and solutions around the world as one global IT team.
For the establishment and growth of the IT Hub Spain, we are looking for an IT Hub Manager - Spain that will support the personal management and further development of the team in Spain and work closely in liaison with the global IT Solution & Competence Center Heads. In this role, you will be the go-to person for all local/regional issues for the IT Hub's team members and facilitator of efficient collaboration between team members across multiple teams in the IT Hub to ensure the team can work as "One IT". Communication and collaboration are key to success in this role with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners and management as well as to create a positive and performance-oriented work environment attuned to the local customs and culture.
Main Responsibilities and TasksLeadership, personnel management, and team development of IT Hub Spain team members in liaison with the respective global IT Solution & Competence Center Heads.Building a trusted collaboration with local and global stakeholders.Attracting and supporting the recruitment of IT talent for the IT Hub Spain.Coaching and facilitating the development of existing IT Hub members.Define and evaluate cross-functional team goals with the IT Hub team members.Support heads of IT Solution & Competence Center with the staffing of external IT staff on IT projects; maintaining a network of local IT service partners.Definition and implementation of aligned and optimized processes in the IT Hub jointly with the global IT Hub Management team.If applicable, take on or support project leadership for cross-functional IT projects.Representing IT Hub Spain to internal organization and the local external market.Qualification ProfileUniversity degree in Computer Sciences, IT, Business Administration, or related field.8+ years of relevant experience in leading a cross-functional IT team, delivery, or development center in Spain.Working with a global IT team in an international environment.Recruiting of IT talents, with emphasis on the local IT market in Spain.Proven project & vendor management experiences (good to have).Strong communication skills.Strong people management skills.Good knowledge and hands-on skills in any of our strategic IT technology providers SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce, or AWS is a plus.Customer-, sales- and service-oriented thinking and acting, friendly in dealing with partners and colleagues.Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.Please feel free to contact me for any further questions.
