We are looking for an IT Engineer.
Key Responsibilities: Providing technical support to end-users for IT and OT-related issues through various communication channels such as phone, ticket system, or in person.
Assisting end-users in setting up and configuring computers, mobile devices, and software applications.
Troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity problems promptly and effectively.
Investigating and identifying the root causes of recurring technical issues, implementing preventive measures to reduce future incidents.
Processing 3rd level inquiries and fault reports and coordinating with suppliers and other parties involved if necessary.
Maintaining an accurate inventory of IT/OT assets, including hardware and software licenses.
Producing both technical and business documents.
Creating capacity analysis/planning for our environment.
Monitoring various systems performance and coordinating the measures to ensure functionality (updates, upgrades, replacements).
Implementing best practice security measures such as hardening, ACL, and firewalls.
Creating well-structured, maintainable tooling to support the IT/OT department.
Managing or participating in various assigned projects as needed.
Developing and implementing sophisticated solutions for our IT/OT landscape.
Providing technical support to our offshore technicians, especially in the Scada/OT area.
Working according to ITIL and in compliance with ISMS and ISO 27001.
Vendor management and communication within your scope.
Travelling time: 15%.
Qualifications and Experience: Very good communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
Degree in Information Technology from University, Technical School, or comparable with several years of work experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
Profound knowledge and several years of experience in the field of system and network administration.
Strong experience with Microsoft Windows (both servers and final users) based, and limited Linux/Unix environments.
Advanced understanding of network topologies (routing, switching), WAN/LAN, VPN, and wireless communication.
Experience with virtualization technologies – VMWare.
Experience with backup technologies - Veeam.
Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring.
Experience with network devices from HPE/Aruba, CISCO, Fortinet products is mandatory.
Experience with the ITIL framework is desirable.
Familiar with cyber security awareness.
Ability to analyze and realize demands from the business departments.
Ability to work as a team member as well as work independently with minimal supervision.
