Job Title : Director of IT Operations (Supply, Manufacturing, Engineering) Location: Barcelona Job Description The Director of IT for Operations (Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics and Distribution) will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's IT landscape across all manufacturing sites and Global Distribution network.
This leadership role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT systems to support business goals and compliance with regulatory standards.
This position requires strong technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership skills to drive operational excellence and enable business growth.
This role needs to have knowledge and experience in managing application landscape supporting supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities IT Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day IT operations, including network infrastructure, servers, databases, and enterprise applications.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems across all manufacturing sites and global applications supporting manufacturing, engineering, supply business processes.
Translate demand for manufacturing, engineering and supply processes into application and infrastructure roadmap.
Develop and implement IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior IT and business leadership to develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with business goals.
Identify emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the company's operations.
Lead initiatives to optimize and modernize IT application landscape.
Plan transformation roadmap of IT landscape, following modern and best practices to support business growth.
Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Manage IT teams (internals and externals) fostering the culture of business enablement to grow.
Develop and maintain necessary skills to execute and deliver the expected IT services to support Supply, manufacturing and engineering processes.
Security and Compliance: Ensure IT for Operations comply with industry regulations and standards, including data security and privacy requirements.
Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company's digital assets.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective IT solutions.
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance for AMS and project execution.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT for Operations (Supply, Manufacturing, Engineering) budget, ensuring cost efficiency and resource optimization.
Monitor and report on IT expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Project Management: Lead and coordinate IT projects for Operations function (Supply, Manufacturing, Engineering), ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new systems and technologies.
Skills & Qualifications Strong experience in IT management, with at least 10 years in a senior role overseeing supply chain and factory IT systems.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP, MES, WMS, OT Integration, and other relevant IT systems.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.
Strong knowledge of IT enterprise applications supporting manufacturing and engineering processes.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience in collaborating closely with business leadership team.
Proven track record to support digital transformation of supply and manufacturing processes.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies and tools, as well as project portfolio and programs management.
Experience in a regulated industrial environment.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
