This role will drive the technology roadmap for Clinical Development focusing on enabling the design and execution of clinical development plans and trials to develop high value medicines for our patients. Opportunity to shape how technology solutions along the continuum can enable optimal and innovative design of trials.
About the RoleMajor accountabilities: Business partner accountable for technology roadmap and delivery of toolsets and capability for the Clinical Development Organization.Understand and identify requirements of the clinical development organization and drive opportunities to deliver those capabilities via bespoke solutions or leveraging toolsets across the Development functional verticals.Engage with stakeholders in Clinical Development organization and across DDIT Development verticals to ensure delivery of capability is achieved through cross functional alignment and delivery of technology roadmaps and initiatives in following areas: Integrated Data Review and Risk Based Quality Management, Protocol Authoring, Generation and Deviation, Trial Complexity Analysis, Patient Engagement, Clinical Development Planning and Integrated Evidence Plan.Act as a consultant and advisor providing guidance to improve complex global business processes, products, services, and software.Engage with global senior business leaders and leverage the appropriate DDIT teams and Functions to determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and add value.Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.
Minimum RequirementsWork Experience: Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering or information technology discipline. An advanced degree and related accreditations a plus.12+ years in business partnering and delivering IT solutions in the pharma industry or similar industries.5+ years of experience with end-to-end Development processes and IT landscape and technologies across functional areas.5+ years ability and experience exploring technology capabilities, industry disruptors and solutions to propose roadmaps.Ability to engage with senior and diverse stakeholders, connecting the dots and influencing roadmaps.Experience working across matrixed functional and IT teams and leading by influence to enable technical capability.Experience in leading cross functional teams.Languages: English fluent.Why Novartis: Our purpose is to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people's lives and our vision is to become the most valued and trusted medicines company in the world.
