The new position will perform the role of IT businessanalyst for our Logistics business applications being deployed in Europe.
He/she will lead the implementation of medium size IT projects and willcontribute to the maintenance and continuous evolution of logistics businessapplications in close alignment with business key users and other IT operatingunits.
We are looking for a curious and proactive personwilling to be onboarded in new business processes and to contribute to theadoption of IT solutions within Logistics and Supply Chain areas butinteracting with other business departments as well. Project managementexperience running medium size projects would help the candidate to succeed inthat role.
Specifically, the company is onboarded in a digital atransformation journey which implies the replacement of legacy applications andthe implementation of a wide range of modern IT solutions, so he/she will beparticipating in some projects aligned with this strategy.
He/she will be part of the ITS Applications operating Unitin Europe reporting to the IT Logistics & Operations Applications managerEurope.
Responsibilities:
- Interaction with business stakeholders, identifyingexplicit and implicit needs and collecting requirements.
- Understand technical options, limitations,costs and risks in order to communicate trade-offs to business partners.
- Functional design of processes as a basefor the development of new functionalities in our core logisticsapplications.
- Resolution of issues and implementation of enhancementswith the support of IT service providers under his/her supervision andother members of the team.
- Leadership of medium size projects takingresponsibilities in their initiation, planning and execution. Controllingscope, timeline, budget, team and risks for each project.
- Contribution to strategic international projects.
Job requirements Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field.
- Project Management certification (PMP, Scrum, other) will be appreciated.
Experience:
- Typically has 5 or more years of IT and work experience in multinational companies:
- IT Business analyst experience in the frame of Logistics Planning, Logistics Execution and Logistics Optimization applications
- Maintenance and continuous evolution of Logistics applications
- Liaising between IT department and Business.
- Project management
- Familiar with logistics data integration patterns with ERPs and onboard mobile devices.
Languages:
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Fluent written and spoken Spanish
- Other European languages such as German or Italian are valuable.

- Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of new business areas.
- Strong problem resolution, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage both IT stuff and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
- Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to explain technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders.
- Experience creating documentation such as business cases or business requirements summaries.
- Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn new skills and to be onboarded in new IT solutions.
Location:
The position is based in Madrid.
Availability to travel in Europe (around 10%-15% of the time).
