Job Description: - Solve technical aspects arisen during repair and test tasks always aiming to comply with the highest quality, cost, and time standards.
- Assist the staff during troubleshooting of electronic and avionics equipment repairs and tests and software loading procedures.
- Assure the proper knowledge of the avionics workshop staff in the areas they work in to maximize efficiency.
Develop periodical courses to cover these aspects of the daily basis in which improvements could be attained.
- Lead the deployment of the growing and development plan for the Avionics Workshop, performing studies to adequately increase the number of components included in the capability list.
- Manage discrepancies and maintenance requirements opened related to the test benches used in the workshop in a way they do not negatively affect production.
Assure that the documentation of these test means is updated and complies with the authorities' requirements.
- Manage the operability of the avionics, mission, and software loading test benches of the Avionics Workshop to keep them fully functional.
- Coordinate scheduling and give support for the use of these benches by third parties, i.e., testing of new navigation databases by the design office, development of new avionics testing solutions, or training visits.
- Assist manufacturing engineering during the improvement of these benches when necessary, especially in the software loading area.
- Support the test and repair activities of the workshop from a technical point of view.
Produce functional tests for the control units repaired in the department.
- Control and update the different systems test benches used in the workshop.
Manage its documentation and coordinate with Test Means in case of those benches under their responsibility.
- Give support to Light Transport Aircraft FAL Quality Department in the creation and modification of electronic components reception instructions.
- In line with the workshop growing and development plan, analyze and study new areas for development and market niches.
- Ensure appropriate coordination with San Pablo Norte MRO quality department in order to fulfill the part 145 authorities' requirements in terms of aeronautical components repairs.
- Manage the capability list approved by AESA, with the purpose of increasing the workload in the avionics workshop.
Qualifications: - Educated in an Engineering degree or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of technical documentation and information.
- Desirable previous experience in Project Management.
- Knowledge in Practical Problem Solving.
- Proactive and autonomous person.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced level in English and Spanish.
- Teamwork, communication, problem solving, and working in multi-functional teams are the main factors to perform the job.
