KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES HSE: Ensures that all warehousing processes, procedures, activities, and operations are compliant with legal requirements and with any national, state, and local regulations; and executed in line with HSE & Quality rules, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, etc.
and promotes awareness thereof, including addressing anomalies to others.
Ensures that safe practices are always followed.
Immediately addresses any unsafe work conditions.
Execution and Strategy: Ensures the warehousing operations achieve the objectives set up, with optimal footprint.
Monitors the correct goods receptions according to company procedures (labeling, dating, FIFO principles, etc.)
and the placement into the warehouse.
Oversees inventory accuracy level per warehouse and proposes and implements actions when necessary.
Proposes warehousing strategies in line with the Supply Chain E2E & company's strategy and objectives, considering alternatives and contingency plans.
Reviews and monitors daily, weekly, and monthly reports and identifies areas of variance requiring attention and correction; implements corrective action as appropriate.
In his/her area, ensures timely and accurate customer order fulfillment, optimizing the cost/service model; E2E responsibility (from Customer Service delivery creation to customer delivery confirmation).
Analyzes and proposes changes regarding different tools: WMS, racking systems, technical equipment in line with the strategy set by the BU Logistics Manager.
Ensures the correct use of the ERP in his area according to the company rules.
KPI's: He/she is responsible for tracking operational and financial performance vs. plan/objectives of his/her area to contribute to Supply Chain and Company's objectives.
Budget and Finance Controlling: Manages and is responsible for the warehousing budget, including cost control, projects, productivity, etc.
Calculates and reports the warehousing costs per unit.
Leadership: Sets individual objectives, reviewing performance and providing ongoing feedback on a formal and informal basis so that all reports are aware of what they are required to achieve and how they are performing against their objectives.
Manages the development and performance of his/her team through a culture of coaching, skills development, and increased accountability.
Motivates employees through sincere and concrete feedback and takes appropriate action when needed, stimulates team cooperation and mobility, and ensures that staff are deployable (quantitatively and qualitatively) and willing to and capable of realizing the set objectives.
Supports the establishment of a culture of leading and collaboration and thereby focusing on improving the warehousing processes and performance.
He/she is an issue solver, resolving complex topics arising from differences with relevant parties (production, customer service, finance...).
Continuous Improvement: Continuously reviews warehousing layouts, techniques and procedures, service providers & costs to proactively initiate changes to supply chain channels and ensure products are warehoused effectively at least cost.
Evaluates Trouw Nutrition's network of warehouses and delivery locations to optimize the entire system including outbound solutions in collaboration with the Transport Manager.
Leads continuous improvement process efforts as a change agent to identify and capture strategic opportunities to optimize delivery productivity and service levels.
Monitors KPIs on performance of the department to drive performance for the Business Unit.
Proposes improvements and drives improvement projects to increase performance on safety, quality, compliance, and cost or service within his/her department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, logistics, business administration.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in warehousing with similar roles.
- Excellent knowledge and expertise of warehousing processes.
- Excellent communication skills.
She/he knows how to convince and persuade, and always maintain a constructive, trusted relation with the stakeholders able to communicate strategy, and action plans at different levels.
- Able to challenge the status quo who leads by example and can make changes happen by inspiring and influencing.
- Able to demonstrate lean capabilities, operational excellence and numerical capability, and focus on targets and KPI's.
- Strategic thinker, reading the needs of our company and preparing the warehousing scenario for the next step.
- An inquisitive approach, able to identify risks and opportunities for appropriate follow up.
- Strong planning and organization skills to ensure responsibilities are executed according to plan.
- Experience in dealing with 3PL's and warehousing companies: tariffs, activities integration.
- Native in Spanish and fluent in English.
