Mission / Purpose of the RoleBased on business and operational requirements and with respect for the objectives, budget, resources, and timing, you will be planning and supporting the IP network and linked services.This role can be based in Brussels or Gosselies.As an IP Backbone Engineer, you will sometimes be required to work night duty.Main Responsibilities:Manage and maintain IP networks (switched backbones, IP and MPLS, CGN, DPI, Caches), IP transit, and peering (IX's and PNI's) at the third level of support:Incident & complex problems managementCapacity PlanningDevelopment projectsPlan, implement & deploy new solutions:Analyse performance indicators, network behavior, operational processes, tools, and service architectures, identify gaps, problems, and risks, and make recommendations on improvement opportunitiesEnd-to-end configuration of solutions (from design to implementation)Interface with other teams to ensure the technical and operational feasibility of services requested by customers and/or propose alternative solutionsYour Profile:Engineering diploma in Telecommunications & Networks or equivalent level of experienceMinimum 3-5 years' experience in an operational telecom environment (configuration, operations, and maintenance)JNCIS-SP certification (Juniper Service Provider Routing & Switching)CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate)Knowledge and experience of IP networks: BGP, MPLS (RSVP, LDP), OSPF, Multicast, NAT, Firewall Filter and Access-list, Policy Routing, Anti-DDOSKnowledge of scripting (Python) and use of AnsibleYou are responsive, flexible, and can manage stress.
