We are looking for a talented and motivated lawyer with investment activity experience who wants to execute EIT Urban Mobility's investment and divestment activities.
The investment associate will report to the Investment Manager.
Main tasks and responsibilities include: Give advice to EIT Urban Mobility as a shareholder and collaborate with the Investment and Portfolio Managers: Advise EIT UM as a shareholder in lifecycle decisions that require a formal position, particularly legal and technical opinion.
Advise on, draft and negotiate agreements relating to investments and divestments, e.G., SAFE agreements, shareholders' agreements, purchase agreements, term sheets, etc.
Supervise and control due diligence with the support of EIT Urban Mobility's pan-European team, e.G., reviewing financials, legal compliance, and risk assessments for investment.
Coordinate with corporate legal functions in EIT Urban Mobility.
Monitor changes in EU legislation and any relevant applicable laws, analyze impact and propose solutions to the business.
Coordinate and contract external legal advisors.
Manage budgets for investment operations.
Report to the CFO and Finance team about the status of investment operations.
Support investment activities related to other thematic areas in EITUM.
Assist with audits and ensure coordination between PMO and the legal team.
What you will bring along the way: An ideal candidate will strive to generate positive environmental and social impact in line with EIT Urban Mobility's mission.
Must-have: Master's degree with a specialization in Corporate, IP or International Business Law.
The applicant is a qualified lawyer who has passed the Bar exam and is registered with a Bar Association.
Native or very fluent in English, both oral and written (minimum C1).
Minimum 5-7 years' work experience.
Experience from venture capital, corporate venture capital, or similar investment activities.
Solid experience in different investment mechanisms and executing investment-related agreements.
Experience gained in drafting/reviewing & negotiating investment contracts
