The role:Conduct thorough qualitative research, including contextual inquiries, diary studies, concept testing, and usability studies, in partnership with UX Design and Product teams.Enhance qualitative data with quantitative findings to develop a holistic view of user behaviors and needs.Vet, partner and lead outside agencies to conduct international localized research to support Rover's international expansion.Generate highly actionable insights and reports. Take a proactive role in educating and collaborating across teams to apply these insights, ensuring they resonate throughout the company.Work directly with product managers, UX designers, and other key stakeholders to define roadmaps and establish clear learning objectives. Join forces with teams like Data Analytics to select the most effective qualitative research methods and design comprehensive research plans aligned with specific business objectives.Bring your expertise in psychology, human behavior, and user experience principles to enrich the team's knowledge and influence the broader company strategy.Spearhead research strategy, seamlessly integrating user research across product design and development processes. Collaborate cross-functionally to embed insights into every facet of the product experience.What we are looking for in you:At least 3 years of experience as a user researcher in a business environment, with a strong focus on generative and exploratory research.A Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Proficiency with common user experience research tools (Figma, Maze, UserTesting & survey tools)Proficiency in conducting and partnering on research for international markets.Exceptional ability to articulate insights and strategies compellingly across various audiences and organizational levels.Comfort with ambiguity and a proven ability to establish processes and structures within a growing team.Excellence in written and asynchronous communication.
