Job Title: International Payroll AdvisorJob ID: 35164Job Location: Portugal, SpainFunction: Finance (CFO)Working pattern: HybridWhy we need this roleAs an International Payroll Advisor you'll deliver accurate payrolls in the EMEA region and be the subject matter expert on those payrolls, also supporting the EMEA Payroll Manager in creating consistent and standard processes.What you'll doBe the subject matter expert on the assigned payrolls in EMEA region (UK, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands)Process and communicate all payroll updates and changes with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail of manual payroll inputHave a good understanding of local labour laws impacting payrollEnsure that data is received in line with established payroll formats and deadlinesBe the primary point of contact for employee queries in relation to designated payrollsProcess payroll funding in each location – salaries and 3rd party payments in collaboration with the Treasury TeamHandle payroll closing activitiesMaintain detailed process documentation with the help of the EMEA Payroll Manager for all EMEA payrollsInteract with the global payroll provider and sub-contractors if applicableAudit payroll calculations and payroll output reports (G2N, Variance Report, payslips, payment files, etc). Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll recordsIdentify improvements, opportunities for process automation and implement any resultant changesProvide advice on best practices on routine as well as complex payroll transactions while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.Conduct regular checks to ensure the integrity of the payroll database, updating data as necessary and ensuring that the payroll database is working correctlyAssist & co-operate in any internal or external audits/projectsWhat we're looking forSkillsExcellent Microsoft Office skills, especially MS ExcelHigh level of customer focusAnalytically mindedHigh level of accuracy and attentionSelf-starter and proactiveAbility to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environmentExperienceMinimum 4-5 years of experience working in payroll businessRecent operational payroll experience within EMEAStrong knowledge of UK and Poland payrollsProcessed international payrolls and worked with global payroll providersStrong payroll systems experienceHighly organised and able to effectively multi-task and prioritise workloadCIPP (advantageous) or similarBA Diploma
