UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia is searching for an Admissions Officer. The post Admissions Officer is a key role within the International Admissions team. You will be responsible for admissions of new students and your role will be vital to ensure that all processes and student enrollment is conducted strictly in accordance with the university's policies, procedures and standard. You will also have to assist the team when needed as the overall functionality and admission process will be your main goal. You will have to oversee the admission process, coordination of student records, communication with faculty and other departments and will have to be flexible and adaptable to ensure the highest student experience possible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES OR DUTIES
? To be responsible for the processing of student applications and admissions.
? To ensure competent administration and record keeping of the admissions process
? To contribute to the achievement of student recruitment targets.
? Manage and process applications both direct and through other sources. Manage other application-related enquiries and other forms of correspondence from prospective students, current students and agents in a cooperative and positive manner.
? Provide guidance on program requirements, country specific entry criteria, tuition fees, scholarships and other issues to both students and members of the international team
? Verify documents and carry out quality checks through liaison with relevant departments to process admissions in a timely manner and with the management when dealing with more complex applications and decisions.
? Evaluate a wide variety of academic qualifications, make decisions and issue offers in line with the university policies
? Ensure all students have completed the necessary requirements of the University e.g. IT Sign up, Academic Registration, Certified/Legalized degree certificates, etc. and keep track of the same.
? Ensure the appropriate and accurate recording of student records in all data management platforms like Laurea, CRM, etc
? Ensuring that all admissions policies and procedures are followed
? Finding solutions to any potential problems or issues with regards to student admission and registration processes
? Provide management with information, including recommendations and alternative suggestions.
? Responsible for producing management reports and analysis.
? Compilation of any required statistical data with regards to students in order for management to make informed decisions or take the necessary actions
? Contribute to other relevant duties and activities.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The person appointed should:
? A good standard of education and a minimum of three years administrative & customer service experience, preferably within a university/ higher education environment.
? Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Highly self-motivated with the ability to exercise judgment and manage his/her workload.
? Able to deal effectively with students and other stakeholders, using tact and sensitivity whenever necessary
? Excellent IT skills and committed to the principle of maximizing the use of systems and to engage fully with these developments as they occur.
? Willingness to undergo training in response to changing office technology/routines or in order to develop themselves
? A commitment to on-going personal and professional development.
? Ability to work under pressure and to ensure that the timelines are strictly followed.
? Ability to deal tactfully and sensitively with confidential information, and awareness of implications of the Data Protection Act.
? Some out of hours working will be required
? English C1 and Spanish B2 Level
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
? Experience of working sensitively with people from different cultural backgrounds.
? Good level of tolerance and perseverance to perform consistently in a semester to achieve high targets.
? Minimum 2 years' experience in admissions, customer service and familiarity with international Markets.
? Be self-motivated, efficient, mature, independent, outgoing, can work under pressure and attentive to details.
? Good communication, presentation skills and willingness to travel and flexible working overtime.
The conditions:
Work location: Murcia
Weekly working hours: 37,5 h
Schedule: 9:00 - 14:00 & 15:30 - 18:00
Annual gross salary: 17.000,00 - 20.000,00€
