About the Company HIP is the leading investor in leisure hotels in southern Europe, with more than 22,000 rooms located in the top tourist destinations of Spain, Italy, Greece, and Portugal. HIP is looking for an Interior Design for its Asset Management Department. You will collaborate with the Design Director to create innovative and impactful hospitality design concepts and help drive projects to completion on time and to a high standard. The ideal candidate will possess a strong creative flair, have at least six years of proven experience in upper-upscale and luxury hotel design (including consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions), and demonstrate eagerness to grow and develop within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Visit sites to analyze space availability, design needs, and the purpose of each area. Define the brief for each section of the area program according to the budget. Lead and manage teams of multi-disciplinary designers. Schedule project milestones and completion timelines. Create high-quality design concepts. Coordinate the entire project, from concept design to executive project. Work with the execution team to ensure the final outcome of the project. Supervise the production and procurement area (FF&E, OS&E, interior architecture, etc.). Maintain project delivery dates, ensuring timely and high-quality completion. Ensure compliance with building regulations and project requirements. Ensure adherence to operator/brand standards and HIP Master Agreements. Ensure compliance with the Asset Strategy Book. Assist with presentations (Design Progress sessions, Design Committee, etc.). Organize and document the HIP design committee. Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders. Attend site and regular HIP/operator/brand meetings. Coordinate and supervise the external technical office. Ensure all design proposals align with the budget. Support and approve any potential value-engineering processes. Support and approve any potential CAPEX reallocation processes. Support and approve any potential project wish-lists. Ensure project completion within the allocated budget and timeline. Stay up to date with new design trends, materials, solutions, and industry best practices. Key Competences Required BS degree in Architecture (preferred), Interior Design, or a similar field. At least six years of proven experience in hotel design (consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions). Experience in upper-upscale/luxury hospitality concepts and international hotel brands is necessary. Creative talent, imagination, and an eye for design. Excellent communication, project management, and presentation skills. Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure. Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and foster a positive work environment. Decision-making capacity based on returns. Sense of initiative, adaptability, and creativity. Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, installations, etc. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, or other design programs (3D programs and similar). Availability to travel on a regular basis. A driving license is required. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Other languages are a plus (Italian, Portuguese, Catalan, etc.).
