Working as an in-house lawyer at Signify is dynamic. You'll be working as in-house lawyer temporarily replacing the legal counsel in Signify Iberia during her maternity leave. We're looking for an interim lawyer who'll be responsible for legal support to Signify Iberia covering the maternity leave of the legal counsel of Signify Iberia. You'll be part of the Signify legal team and based in Madrid. Your main responsibilities are legal support to the business and guiding the business in compliance related matters. The function will be on a part-time basis.
What you'll do
Providing proactive legal support and counsel to the Signify businesses and functions in Iberia (Spain & Portugal), related to corporate and commercial matters, including general counselling, contracting, projects, etc.
Drafting and reviewing contracts.
Managing claims and litigations for Iberia.
Administering the company secretarial work for the active and dormant Signify companies in Iberia.
Providing trainings on all areas of law which are relevant to the businesses, including compliance related matters.
Fulfilling the Compliance Officer role and responsibilities for Iberia.
What you'll need
Bachelor's degree in Law
Demonstrated experience as corporate lawyer of 5-7 years
Extensive legal knowledge (corporate and commercial law, litigation, data protection and intellectual property)
Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
Dynamic, organized, committed, responsible with a great capacity for analysis and problem solving and positive attitude.
Excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivated.
