Job Title: Interim International Tax Senior ManagerLocation: San Clemente, USPosted: 08/15/2024Pay Rate: USD 85.00/hourJob Description:Alliance Resource Group is assisting our client in finding a Tax Professional on a contract to hire basis.Roles and Responsibilities:Manage sales and use tax across all 50 states.Review and approve exemption/resale certificates.Maintain the exemption/resale certificate management system.Process tax adjustments for non-taxable sales in Infor CSD.Provide tax guidance to business partners.Prepare resale certificates for suppliers.Research and comply with state and local regulations.Assist with sales/use tax audits.Prepare and upload journal entries.Reconcile sales and use tax general ledger accounts.Develop and implement process improvements.Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned.Key Challenges:Manage complex tax-exempt sales to governments, churches, hospitals, schools, etc.Assist with audits, especially due to handling tax-exempt sales.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2 years, ideally 3-5 years. Strong problem-solving skills.Education: Accounting degree or equivalent experience.Skills: Advanced Excel skills, experience with Avalara and CCH Tax Research preferred.2-5 years of indirect tax and accounting experience in a multi-state organization.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Official Specs: Ideal candidate is a self-starter and team player, capable of multitasking and maintaining high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
