The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is now the hosting entity for EuroHPC JU. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science under one roof.

Context And Mission
Reporting to the BSC Technology Transfer Manager within the Innovation and Business Development team, the Innovation Manager will facilitate the exploitation of BSC's research results by managing the BSC technology portfolio and identifying market opportunities to transfer knowledge and technology developed at BSC to the market.
The funding for these actions/fellowships and contracts comes from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility - Next Generation.
Key Duties
Promote innovation services for researchers to transform BSC project results into new products, services and processes.
Define and manage a market validation program while identifying market opportunities for project results.
Be in contact with the innovation ecosystem.
Manage market validation activities to facilitate the exploitation of BSC's research results.
Carry out tasks described in the X4HPC TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROJECT.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration or science.
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:
Professional experience in managing similar innovation Networks of research centres.
Demonstrated experience in project management.
Fluency in Spanish, Catalan and English is essential.
Competences:
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to take initiative and work under set deadlines.
Willing to travel.
Team-oriented and client-focused.
Conditions
Full-time contract (37.5h/week), flexible working hours, private health insurance.
Duration: 4 years
Salary: 45.000 €
Starting date: asap - before 16th December 2024
