Sinclair is seeking for a Infrastructure Engineer at their offices located in Esplugues del Llobregat (Barcelona).
Being part of a Global IT department with HQ in Chester, UK, and reporting to the Head of IT Operations, the Infrastructure Engineer mission is to support, maintain, develop, and deploy new and existing technology, to assist in the technical project work, as well as working closely with the other Technology Services functions to deploy new infrastructure tools, being the technical point for infrastructure matters.
Your Skills & Experience – Do You Have What It Takes?Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.Technical education related to IT infrastructures.Excellent technical knowledge of AD, Azure, AAD, Intune, SCCM, and WSUS.Strong experience and knowledge of Azure VPNs, Data Centre Routing and Switching, Network Segmentation and Wireless Controllers.Experience in managing a global network.Experience of Intune deployments.Knowledge of security products such as Network Access Control.Knowledge of virtual servers, networks, and storage.Management of Backups and Disaster Recovery processes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory to communicate with global stakeholders.Able to effectively manage a technical workload both project and BAU.Advanced problem-solving skills.Experience in Hyper-V.Desirable (not essential):Knowledge of SAP (infrastructure support).CCNA.Azure Fundamentals.Powershell.A bit about you – do you fit this description?High professionalism in all aspects of delivering I.T. services to the business.Be aligned with the department's strategic objectives and support the delivery of related initiatives.Interest to stay current with technology developments, and make recommendations for change, working closely with the Technical Services Team.Encourage a positive and professional team ethic through effective communication. Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of assigned work keeping problems, incidents, and tasks up to date.Resolve technical support tickets on time.Be the point of contact for infrastructure technical issues, lead in the root cause analysis of problems, and own issues in critical and non-critical situations.Remediation of system vulnerabilities through patching and updates as part of a planned maintenance program for servers and workstations.Work with the business to arrange maintenance windows with a keen appreciation of the business impact and priorities.Successfully deliver project tasks on time and in line with the agreed scope set by I.T. Management and I.T. Project Management Team.Ensures that technical documentation relating to new and existing technology is managed effectively.Lead Intune projects, and assist with asset management, software package deployment, and audit.Ensuring standards are met and routine maintenance activities are identified, carried out, and managed workloads effectively.Work with external data centers. Knowledge of site-to-site connections.Ensure change control is managed and followed within the Sinclair change control process.Ensure that the backup, DR, and restore functions are up to date and policies adhered to, and check that we are meeting audit points regularly.BenefitsWe offer:
