This role requires working from our office in central Madrid, optional 2 days a week from home. CVs in English only please. We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer or DevOps Engineer to design and maintain multi-layer application solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and robustness. You will automate provisioning and configuration of Windows/Linux environments, support multi-cloud and private cloud applications, and provide guidance on Infrastructure as Code (IaaC). The role also includes on-call duties for Payoneer's production systems, and collaboration with various departments to optimize processes.
What you'll be spending your time on: Design multi-layer application solutions spanning from client interfaces to backend applications, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security throughout the system architecture.Provide support and guidance to dev teams on using the underlying IaaC.Maintain the application layer of our multi-cloud and private cloud environment.Automate the provisioning and configuration of Windows/Linux environments.Participate in 'On-Call' duties on Payoneer's production systems, working in non-conventional hours including weekends and holidays (from time to time).Work closely with product, QA, developers, and IT/operations departments to streamline their working methods.Is this you? Have you done this kind of stuff? At least 6 years of experience as DevOps Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Platform Engineer, or System Administrator, with several years of expertise in running production workloads with Kubernetes.Ability to develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).Proven experience with API Gateway tools (Google Apigee or AWS API Gateway).Experience with Configuration Management tools like Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.Background in Windows and Linux administration in large-scale environments.Strong troubleshooting skills.Experience in high-volume or critical production service environments.Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, LogicMonitor, or similar).Proactive by nature; internal drive for excellence and improvement.Not a must but a great advantage: BS degree in computer science or computer engineering.Experience with virtual environments such as VMware.Familiarity with event streaming and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.Knowledge and understanding of storage and related infrastructure.Experience with CI/CD tools and source control management tools (e.g., Git & TFVC, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Artifactory, Proget, etc.).Knowledge and understanding of Cloud Networking.Worked with certificate management products.Knowledge of content delivery over the open Internet concepts and technologies.Comprehensive understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, load balancers, micro-segmentation & WAF platforms.
