ROLE SUMMARY
Influenza has a high disease burden every year, causing 3-5 million hospitalizations and up to 650k deaths. The Global Influenza market is growing and estimated to reach $9B by 2030 without accounting for mRNA's significant potential. The market is currently undifferentiated and ripe for disruption. Our mRNA Influenza Vaccine has the potential to transform what is possible in the Influenza vaccine space. This role represents a major opportunity to contribute to the launch planning for one of our most visible pipeline products, partnering with a team of global stakeholders (marketing, medical, PHI, public affairs, communications, agency of record, and others).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and gain endorsement for the Global Market Shaping and Development plan.
- Lead XFT efforts from medical, public affairs, and communication to shape Influenza mRNA narrative and develop patient brand selection empowerment.
- Create and develop advocacy (including patient advocacy) for the importance of innovation (mRNA) in the Influenza Vx space.
- Partner with Global XFT to update local and supranational health authorities' recommendations and lead ongoing efforts to change the paradigm in Influenza disease.
- Partner with Global mRNA Flu Lead, policy, and other cross-functional colleagues on additional initiatives to change the paradigm in Flu (strain selection timing, patient advocacy, etc.).
- Work with US, IDM region, and local markets to understand market development opportunities and requirements.
- Co-create a suite of market development tools/resources suitable for omnichannel execution, including a "launch playbook" that can be locally customized at the market level.
- Develop and deploy "omnichannel" unbranded campaign & messaging, aligned with Bold Move 3.3 and new customer-facing roles.
- Partner with the global mRNA Market engagement to create their local Market Development implementation plan and support them in their requests for funding and resources.
- Ensure coordination of the market development strategy at the regional and local levels and ensure consistency of approach and implementation.
- Identify, develop, and ensure optimal roll-out of global market development platforms, capabilities, and competencies.
- Define success and KPIs for tracking market development progress.
- Support the annual operating and tactical plan development process focused on market development.
- Conduct all activities and make decisions that are in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, Pfizer Values, and global and local regulations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in marketing, strategy, new product launch.
- Vaccine experience is preferred.
- Strategic cross-functional leadership experience including market experience and above country/regional scope.
- Experience collaborating with, influencing, and leading cross-functional teams involving Medical Affairs, PHI, Legal, Regulatory, Corporate Affairs, and Regions/Countries.
- Ability to focus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and support the team through key strategic decisions.
- Strong analytical and strategic skills including the ability to identify and prioritize strategic challenges and balance short-term needs with long-term vision.
- Ability to uncover insights, synthesize and evaluate information, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Demonstrated understanding of the operational complexities required to execute against GLocal Launch Readiness in a highly competitive market.
- Must be mature, self-driven, have exceptional learning agility, and a high degree of comfort with ambiguity and complexity. Track record of pushing boundaries and not accepting the status quo.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- 10-20% international travel.
