The Sales Representative is responsible for selling flat roll carbon steel products and addressing client inquiries and concerns in designated accounts or regions. This position will play a key role in developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders. This role has the flexibility to be based out of any state.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree Preferred; or Minimum Three (3) Years Field Sales Experience; or Equivalent Combination of Education and ExperienceSales Experience in Manufacturing Industry RequiredSteel Sales Experience RequiredRESPONSIBILITIES: Locates new customers through phone calls, personal visits, internet research, networking, and business publications to continually increase sales and expand customer base.Develops and delivers sales presentations in a professional, effective manner by maintaining up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends, and government regulations.Prepares quotes and contracts for potential customers and maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations.Maintains all sales demonstration tools and applications.Ensures that customers' orders are processed accurately and regularly monitors customer needs to facilitate continuous availability.Provides post-sale customer service as needed to maintain good customer relations and increase sales.Shares any information that may benefit others in the company.BENEFITS: Excellent benefits include medical with a standard PPO plan with deductibles as low as $1,500 and wellness credit up to $750; free concierge primary care; voluntary 401k plan currently matching up to 12%; voluntary dental and vision plans; free telemedicine services; basic life, long and short term disability coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS: Proven track record of success in driving sales growth, building client relationships, and closing deals.Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and budget.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to persuade and influence others.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Willingness to travel 75% + within the USA to meet with clients, attend industry events, and work a flexible schedule with significant local/overnight travel.Standard reading, writing, and math skills.Knowledge of the steel products or manufacturing industry.Basic knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques with emphasis on post-sale customer service.Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive, trustworthy company image to the public.Proficient reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to facilitate sales objectives.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
