At this time, we are looking for an Industrial Automation Project Manager for our client located in Murcia.
RESPONSIBILITIES Analysis of User (Customer) functional requirements, connectivity and data integrity requirements, and integration with customer overall systems such as Delta V, VDS (Validated Data System on Scada Platform), BMS (Building Management System).
Acting as focal point with the customer during automation project definition and execution.
Production of project schedule and workload prognosis according to specifications and customer needs.
Risk management of the automation projects (Risk assessments and risk mitigation plans).
Agile planning and project management maintaining a project schedule and coordinating needs with the project team and with customer expectations.
Review of instrumentation engineering, functional design specifications, software design specifications, and software production process and testing to guarantee compliance of those deliverables with Customer Specifications.
Increase the effectiveness and efficiency / robustness and consistency of Industrial Automation production processes through identifying opportunities for improvement to each function area as well as coordination and communication between functional areas.
Elaboration of changes log, changes impact analysis, changes traceability, and other tools for quality control and assurance.
SKILLS From a technical point of view as an industrial automation project manager, you need to be familiar with the different types of automation technologies, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), hardware configuration, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols. Experience as an automation engineer in the pharmaceutical/medical devices industry and knowledge of ISA-88 and GMP (GaMP) directives are strongly sought.
From a managerial point of view, you need to have strong managerial skills that enable you to plan, organize, coordinate, and control the resources, tasks, and deliverables of the project. You need to be able to define the project scope, objectives, budget, and schedule, and monitor the project progress, quality, and performance. You also need to manage the project risks, issues, changes, and dependencies, and implement appropriate mitigation and contingency plans. Furthermore, you need to communicate effectively with the project team, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, and report on the project status, achievements, and lessons learned.
