PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This position leads the main Indirect categories in scope which are (but not limited to): Business and corporate management consultation services, Temporary labor, Recruitment, Communication services.
There will be close partnership with Communication, Legal, HHRR, Finance, and Operations.
The role reports directly to the Spain and Portugal Head of Indirect Procurement.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops long-term strategic plans for the entire spend area within Corporate Services for the Spain and Portugal Cluster.
Manages in-country (Spain and Portugal) procurement activities and delivers on savings plans while managing relevant policies.
Manages requestors and supplier relationships to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future business needs and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies.
Coordinates the introduction of new and modified services with appropriate departments.
Advises on contracts and agreements for the supply of complex services with new and existing suppliers.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: University degree or equivalent qualifications.
Previous experience in a buyer role.
Proven, successful supplier negotiation skills.
Understanding of contract terms and conditions.
Understanding of contract principles and clauses and ability to construct and interpret agreements.
Excellent communication/relationship skills; be a confidential and trustworthy business partner.
Communication skills and ability to influence others.
Comfort with risk and ambiguous situations.
Accuracy, problem-solving, planning and organization, result orientation, service orientation, and ability to perform in stress situations.
DESIRABLE: Experience of working within Indirect procurement, preferably Corporate or professional services categories.
Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
