PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This position leads the main Indirect categories in scope, which include (but are not limited to) Business and corporate management consultation services, temporary labor, recruitment, and communication services. There will be close partnership with Communication, Legal, HR, Finance, and Operations. The role reports directly to the Spain and Portugal Head of Indirect Procurement. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop long-term strategic plans for the entire spend area within Corporate Services for the Spain and Portugal Cluster. Manage in-country (Spain and Portugal) procurement activities and deliver on savings plans, managing relevant policies. Manage requestors and supplier relationships to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business needs and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies. Coordinate the introduction of new and modified services with appropriate departments. Advise on contracts and agreements for the supply of complex services with new and existing suppliers. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: University degree or equivalent qualifications. Previous experience in a buyer role. Proven, successful supplier negotiation skills and understanding of contract terms and conditions. Understanding of contract principles and clauses and the ability to construct and interpret agreements. Excellent communication and relationship skills, being a confidential and trustworthy business partner. Ability to influence others. Comfort with risk and ambiguous situations. Accuracy, problem-solving, planning and organization, result orientation, service orientation, and the ability to perform in stress situations. DESIRABLE: Experience of working within Indirect procurement, preferably in Corporate or professional services categories. Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus. ARIBA S2C experience.
