DESCRIPTION
Amazon is looking for a talented and driven Instock Manager with Supply Chain management experience, to develop our Fresh Supply Chain Programs for Spain, aimed at improving the way Spanish customers buy Consumables/Grocery products online.
You will lead several high impact projects within the supply chain management for Fresh in Spain, collaborating with Pan-EU teams and tech teams based in EU and NA, being part of a young and talented group of people, reporting to the Leadership Team, defining the strategy of the definition of the Fresh supply chain for the next years, driving improvements and automation in inventory availability, efficiency, waste reduction, capacity management, selection growth and planning/purchasing processes. And you will influence tech teams to develop the tools that will define the way Fresh will operate in the future.
In order to be successful in this position, you need to be comfortable driving business decisions in a high pressure and often ambiguous work environment, challenging the status quo to improve existing processes and customer experience, and having the think big mindset to set the pillars of the business operations for the next years.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop supply chain project management for Fresh in Spain.
- Drive process improvement opportunities, with a special focus on efficiency and scalability, working with technical teams, vendors and operations teams.
- Manage senior stakeholders from different teams (from retail to tech), being able to influence others.
- Manage large scale data to drive decision making;
- Define the strategy of the supply chain for Fresh for the next years, learning from other countries, business, industries and competitors.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Multiple years of working experience ideally in supply chain, inventory management with project management experience or as strategy consultant
- Fluent English
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Management, Economics, Maths or similar
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills, with aptitude for data-driven argumentation
- Experience working with complex data sets
- A business focused way of thinking and a strong hands-on, results oriented mentality combined with ability to work strategically
- Must have a proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced online environment.
- Highly analytical, flexible, action and results oriented, self-starter, comfortable with computer databases and tools
- An effective communicator working with some of Amazon's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal teams
- Operates as a team player, likes to have fun at work, and has a positive attitude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Good knowledge of Excel and analytical techniques
- Experience with SQL is a strong plus
