2D Artist/Graphic Designer
Contract: 10 days FitXR is a fitness technology company working at the cutting edge of VR and MR, building a movement for movement.
We started life in 2016 in a garden shed in the UK. Today, we're building FitXR, one of the top-downloaded apps on the Meta Quest store. We've raised close to $30m from top investors such as Maveron, Hiro, and BoostVC.
We've built a growing range of fitness studios, from box workouts with world-class trainers like Olympian Nicola Adams to immersive Zumba dance classes. While nothing compares to trying it yourself, you can watch a trailer here.

TLDR We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Freelance Illustrator tojoin our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in crafting visually captivating 3D badges and medals for our VR fitness app, as well as other digital marketing materials.
Where you'll spend your time Designing and developing 2D badges that users can earn within the VR app, ensuring they are visually appealing and contextually appropriate
Designing and developing 2D medals assigned to users after they have completed a workout
Collaborating with the VR development team to integrate badges effectively into the existing system
Testing badge visibility and functionality within the VR app to ensure a seamless user experience
Design of skills for game assets
We'd love to see from you Previous experience in gamification and digital badge design
Strong proficiency in 2D illustration and graphic design software such as Photoshop, Indesign.
Proficient in concept creation and a strong understanding of texturing, lighting, and rendering techniques specific to VR
Experience in designing interactive elements for virtual reality or augmented reality platforms
Creative thinking with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
[nice to have] Knowledge of Unity, particularly relating to asset integration
