Microsoft's Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world's computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide. Microsoft is rapidly expanding its global data center (DC) footprint to meet our customers' cloud objectives.
All DCs and service offerings require efficient and reliable capacity planning to meet exponentially growing customer demand. Our Global Capacity Team (GCT), housed within the Cloud Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization, is an agile, exciting, and fast-evolving engineering team focused on delivering capacity solutions for our customers worldwide, across all Microsoft cloud offerings. As we grow, we need passionate and talented individuals with business and/or engineering backgrounds, a ton of energy, and a healthy dose of humility.
To ensure Customers achieve expansion with quality across all Microsoft cloud services, we established a specialized program within GCT, called Field Insights. The Field Insights Team (FIT) has two primary areas of focus:
Field Partnership & Demand Signaling: To ensure that customers can expand their consumption of Microsoft cloud services without constraints, this role gathers customer-based intelligence in coordination with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering teams. This role works to develop strong ties with field and subsidiary leadership to assist with the sensing of Customer demand and secular trends.Premium Customer Program: Insights into our Customer segments drive tailored offerings and enablement strategies. This role will help us co-plan and enable some of our most important Customer segments as they transition and grow in the cloud. These systems and partnerships enable us to develop an early deal pipeline and more effectively plan resource-specific capacity, shaping our cloud DC growth strategy for each region. Collectively, our team's efforts help customers meet their business objectives and propel Microsoft's fastest-growing business segments.
We're now seeking to hire a talented program manager based in Spain to assist with support in European sales theaters. This role will report to the Field Insights Program Lead and will partner closely with subsidiary leadership teams across Europe (Area Vice President and LT, Business Group Leads, Technical advisers, etc.). The role will help Microsoft align cross-company sales initiatives, cloud capacity expansion, subsidiary revenue performance, and gross margin targets to our capacity plans.
