For more information, please visit.Location: Spain, MadridThe Role: The Lead Compositor will be leading a team of compositors and working closely with Visual Effects Supervisors and CG Supervisors to composite the numerous elements that complete visual-effects shots.ResponsibilitiesAct as the key contact for production and supervisors, ensuring clear communication, dealing with creative challenges, solutions and adapting to changes in production and scheduling.Balancing the creative and technical aspects of every shot.Meeting schedules and show deadlines.Working in collaboration with the Compositing Supervisor and Visual Effects Supervisor to evaluate the creative and technical approach to assigned shots.Working with a good knowledge of color space principles.Giving briefs and direction to the team with the aid of the VFX Supervisors in order to ensure the appropriate execution of shots.Integrating 2D, 3D and live action elements to high-end visual effects film standard.Taking responsibility for the team's workload, time management and notes/feedback actions required by Supervisors.Establish workflow templates, methods of compositing and provide documentation for other artists on the team where necessary.Ensure that department tools are available for your team and properly set up for the show.Attend dailies and present the work of your team, guide artists on how to present work.Provide regular feedback to your artists and ensure quality control for the artists on the team.Training and mentoring to junior artists.SkillsAn excellent knowledge of production experience with Nuke.Experience working with large globally distributed teams.Ability to organize and prioritize effectively.A strong eye for detail, composition, color and lighting.Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.An understanding of color space principles.Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high attention to detail.A working knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline.Comfort with fast-paced, fluid work environment.Exceptional communication skills across all levels (verbal, written).Desirable SkillsProgramming and coding experience and knowledge.Knowledge of practical lighting for photography.Experience in dealing and communicating with clients
