[Ihi558] Post-Doc Energy Data Scientist

About the Role
As Energy Data Scientist , you will join the Technology Development team. Data underpins everything we do at Bamboo, and we're looking for someone who is comfortable working on a variety of forecast and data intelligence problems. You'll be working closely with our developers to build and deploy solutions directly for our products. You will discuss with the CTO and the product owner how our platform could perform better. We are passionate about problem-solving and providing data-informed insights to our customers and colleagues.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Build a deep understanding of how to forecast demand flexibility, improve current forecasting algorithms, and identify the metrics to evaluate these improvements.
Develop new features and modules based on data analysis for new products under development.
Lead a team of junior data scientists and data engineers.
Coordinate with the Head of Technology, the Product Owner, and the R&D Manager to develop and implement Bamboo product roadmap.
Design own analytics and tracking plans from metric definition to ongoing reporting. Establish dashboards that serve as the primary source to evaluate the performance of the modules.
Own your analytics projects, proactively identify issues and opportunities, test hypotheses, and propose solutions.
Collaborate with groups company-wide (e.g., business development, customer success) on KPIs.
Minimum Requirements
Ph.D. in Data Science.
More than 3 years of experience in Energy Data Science.
Knowledge and experience in Machine Learning for Energy Data.
Knowledge and experience in statistical analysis and machine learning with Python.
Knowledge of digital sectors and/or SaaS models.
Experience in writing production-quality code in Python and using software engineering best practices around version control, review, and automated testing.
Languages: English (Proficiency) mandatory. Spanish is valuable.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
Degree in statistics, data science, or a related field.
Knowledge of the energy sector, electricity markets, and/or digitalization of energy technologies.
Experience in SaaS solutions for energy or equivalent sector.
