As one of the Construction Managers for Iberia, working together with the team, you are responsible for the Portfolio action projects assigned for Spain and Portugal, including expansion projects, store openings, relocations, and renovations. You will contribute to C&A's growth strategy by leading the implementation of design and construction of assigned store projects.
Your Responsibilities At C&A: Own the project execution of all assigned modernization projects (refurbishments, relocations & expansions) to achieve frictionless state of the art implementation on concept, in schedule & budget in line with European guidelines.Consult the market real estate team during the lease negotiation process on technical requirements, interfaces & budget requirements to achieve favorable contractual lease terms and landlord contributions.Coordinate & deliver all assigned projects within the end-to-end process from signed off store list to project & handover to operations driving executional efficiency.Coordinate centrally & locally contracted 3rd party breathing workbench on all assigned modernization projects to enable effective project execution.Prepare necessary documentation for "store project clearance group" on all assigned projects to validate the required modernization scope per project and related budget.Proactively report progress on all assigned projects in recurring meetings as the key market interface for implementation of the seasonal market modernization program.Contribute operational experience to continuously improve European best practice-based guidelines with the EHO center of excellence teams.Proactively request input from Market Finance teams on operational efficiency & sustainability drivers to take investment decisions on all assigned projects with total cost of ownership & environmental impact in mind.Review & rate the 3rd party network performance on all assigned projects vs. defined cost & quality KPIs to assure continuous delivery vs. cost/quality expectation & identify actionable optimization insights. What We Expect Of You: Degree in architecture, civil engineering or equivalent work experience background; business administration experience beneficial.Min 5 years of experience in delivering development projects in corporate environments - preferably value retailing.Profound experience in implementation of branded environments - preferably value retailing.Strong in up-skilling on new processes, skills and concepts.Strong ability to process multiple projects at different stages simultaneously.Organizational skills with strong business acumen and priority setting capabilities.Strong communication and leadership skills and ability to build relationships across teams in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.Possibility to work as a freelance for a temporary period of 6 months, supporting on specific projects.Possibility to travel around our locations in Spain and Portugal depending on the projects involved.
