Based in our global Barcelona hub, we have exciting opportunities for skilled and ambitious statisticians to work with the following therapy areas: Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism; Respiratory & Immunology; and Vaccines & Immune Therapies.
This team will be part of a multi-disciplinary group, including payer evidence and market access specialists, HTA modelers, and programmers.
You will be helping us to shape the payer environment by creating and delivering highly valued market access solutions that unlock the potential of our life-changing medicines for patients around the world.
What you'll do:With the growing use of HTA, including the upcoming Joint Clinical Assessment in Europe, you will play an important role in shaping what we do and the ways of working.Support market access strategies by providing critical input regarding appropriate statistical approaches to address specific questions of interest.Independently develop analysis plans to analyze internal or external information.Execute, interpret, and present analysis results.Act as a technical expert in interactions with external suppliers and stakeholders.Contribute to strategic planning and quantitative decision-making.Take responsibility for analysis design and results interpretation.Provide mentoring to more junior staff.Present at internal forums to increase awareness of statistical methodology.Essential requirements:Programming expertise in R and/or SAS.Demonstrated experience from clinical trials or other aspects of pharmaceutical development.Publication experience and/or experience of presenting at external meetings.Understanding of health technology assessment and reimbursement process.Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts in an understandable way to colleagues with different areas of expertise.MSc or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics (with a substantial statistical component).Desirable:Extensive experience from the pharmaceutical industry and market access strategies.Deeper understanding of indirect treatment comparison methodology including network meta-analysis and matching adjusted indirect comparison approaches.Our Statistical Science Associate Director and Statistical Science Director roles depend on the level of qualifications and experience of the applicant.
Additional desirable qualifications that can be relevant for the Statistical Science Director role include but are not limited to:
Experience of teaching.Experience of working with clinical trial datasets.Familiarity with CDISC.Experience of writing and reviewing statistical analysis plans or payer analysis plans.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and mentor more junior staff members.Demonstrated ability to interpret clinical trial results.Experience of publishing research results in peer-reviewed journals.Experience of HTA submissions.Experience of HTA interactions or Health Authority interactions.
