Your Role
We are looking for a Business Controller for the Iberian Original Grocery Business Unit (OGBU), who will report to the Senior Controller of Iberia OGBU and collaborate closely with the market teams. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring financial performance, supporting the planning and reporting process, providing ad-hoc financial information, and offering value-added insights to the business (sales team & marketing), to facilitate fact-based decision-making.
What will you do?
Participate in the construction of budgets, forecasts, key figure reports, monthly and annual financial reporting.
Manage and lead the P&L account of Portugal, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
Provide the local team with insights and analysis of results, identifying underlying trends and challenging the business performance.
Understand and explain monthly and yearly variances (actual vs previous month, vs budget, vs forecast).
Support the commercial organization in the negotiation process. Oversee trade terms execution, balance price volume for profitability and ensure accurate accruals and balance sheet status.
Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop business cases & ad-hoc analysis.
Participate in the target-setting process and plan follow-up.
Assist in the ongoing digital transformation of the consolidation and reporting function.
Share forecasts and actuals with stakeholders, promoting transparency and ownership through the review process.
What are we looking for?
Degree in Business Administration or Economics.
At least 2 years of working experience in a finance controller or similar role.
Analytical skills with attention to detail and an understanding of the bigger picture.
Communication skills to present findings to stakeholders.
Team player with a results-oriented mindset.
Systematic and structured approach to problem-solving.
Curiosity and continuous improvement mindset.
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluent in Spanish & English.
