SANTANDER GLOBAL TECH (SGT) is looking for a DEVOPS ENGINEER for our Malaga offices.

Our team consists of more than 2,000 people from 7 different countries (Spain, Portugal, UK, US, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil), developing and implementing financial solutions in a wide range of technologies (Blockchain, Big Data, Angular, among others) on various platforms, both on-premise and Cloud. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with skills and competencies in developing digital technologies to build, integrate, and evolve Santander's new global platforms.
WHAT WILL YOU DO As a DevOps Engineer, reporting to the Head of SCIB DevOps, your objective will be to help implement DevOps practices and promote a DevOps culture while working on tasks related to the following areas:
Secure coding: Provide tools and mechanisms to enable developers to work in secure coding. Release management process automation: Define quality gates and develop frameworks that allow Product teams to automate tests. Configuration and Secrets management: Enable infrastructure as code for Product Teams. Provide Observability as a service to facilitate Application and Infrastructure functional and technical monitoring and centralized logging. Improve local development environments. Build a self-service platform that allows Product Teams to consume all the above services. You will help promote engineering excellence practices to improve Time to Market, Collaboration, Standardization, and Automation, and most importantly, provide customer value to delight our current customers and attract new ones.
We need someone like you to help us in these areas: Provide a CICD elastic infrastructure to enable product teams to run their pipelines. Provide a catalog of component templates for all our tech stack to enable CICD automation out of the box through our Global Engineering platform. Implement CI and CD pipelines using our newest tools (Github Actions, Ansible, Helm…). Administrate SCIB DevOps tools (JIRA, Confluence, Github, Sonar…). Promote DevOps culture across SCIB. Support and guide teams on Global Engineering Platform adoption. Collaborate with the Global community to add more value to Product teams through the Global Engineering platform. Documentation development and maintenance. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCE Required: +3 years of experience.
EDUCATION Required: Bachelor or Degree in Engineering.

Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban). Git and repository scaffolding tools (Maven Archetype/Yeoman/Custom...). Branching strategies (GitFlow, Trunk Based development). CI tools (Github Actions). Scripting (Ansible/Python/Helm). Docker image builders (Docker/Podman/Buildah...). Docker orchestrators (Kubernetes, Openshift). Programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Shell scripting...). Quality assurance tools and quality gates implementation (Sonarqube). Automation testing and best practices (TDD/BDD). Centralized logging tools (ELK). Monitoring tools (Beats, Prometheus, Grafana/Kibana, Dynatrace). Desirable:
Relational DDBB (Oracle, MySql, PostgreSQL…). NoSQL DDBB (MongoDB/Cassandra/DynamoDB). Knowledge around Cloud services in main Public Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge around API development (Swagger, API Managers...). Knowledge around networking and load balancers (Nginx/F5/DNS managers, SSL Certificates). Complex Pipeline architecture design (Appian, QlikSense, Control-M…). Static Security assurance tools SAST (Fortify). Docker images security assurance tools (Sysdig). Dynamic Security assurance tools DAST (BurpSuite). BDD frameworks (Gherkin, Cucumber). API Testing (Karate/Rest Assured). Front end testing frameworks (Cypress/Playwright). APM (Dynatrace). AIOps (Pagerduty). OTHER INFORMATION The most important for us is the attitude and the capacity to spread good engineering practices and collaboration to everyone around us.
