SCIB is looking for a DBA PostgreSQL, based in our Malaga location.

YOU WILL BE DOING
As a DBA PostgreSQL, you will manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases. We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
Architect, implement, and maintain high-performance PostgreSQL databases.
Database Management: Design, implement, and manage robust PostgreSQL database systems to ensure data accuracy, security, and high availability installations.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure the continuous improvement of the platform.
Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain data security measures, ensuring compliance.
Backup and Recovery: Develop and execute reliable backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data in PostgreSQL databases.
Database Upgrades: Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations (Oracle to PostgreSQL) while minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
NOTE: Avoid using extensive lists. Maximum of 8 tasks.
EXPERIENCE
Experience: More than 5 years in previously described or similar functions.
EDUCATION
Degree: Software Engineer or equivalent.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Required skills:
Extensive experience in managing PostgreSQL databases, including administration, optimization, and high availability configurations.
Experience in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Experience implementing high availability systems by setting up either streaming replication or logical replication and decoding.
Understanding of automation concepts to speed up the work using Ansible.
Knowledge in DevOps environments; knowledge in Ansible, GitHub, Rundeck.
Spoken and written English (B2-C1).
