Join us!Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs Database Administrator, you are responsible for managing and performing physical database maintenance performance, providing technical support to staff, implementing client requirements, solving technical problems in a fast and thorough manner, and engaging associate teams in problem solving.
You will install, configure, and maintain DB2 LUW instances and Microsoft SQL instances.Develop specific guides related to installation, configuration, tuning, backup, and restore.Perform regular upgrades and fix pack installations.Manage and monitor space, availability, and incidents.Manage the compliance process (security processes related to user ID management, patch management).Manage patching and migration processes.Collaborate with development teams to optimize processes and procedures and collaborate with Disaster-Recovery tasks.Work with teams in Spain and foreign countries using Spanish and English as communication languages.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseMore than three years of experience managing DB2 UDB and Microsoft SQL databases in Unix/Linux and Windows environments:MS SQL Server versions 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017DB2 LUW versions 10 and 11Environment installation and upgradeImplementation and maintenance of high availability solutions on SQL Server and DB2Cluster MS SQL ServerDB2 HADRKnowledge of operating systems at the user level: Windows, AIX, LinuxKnowledge of backup tools and monitoring solutionsBasic knowledge of infrastructure: servers and storagePatching, upgrade performance analysisBasic scripting for process automationPreferred Technical and Professional ExperienceCertification and desirable knowledge of MySQL, Postgres, Sybase.Required EducationNon-Degree ProgramPreferred EducationTechnical DiplomaKyndryl is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
