Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to work in an existing scrum team based in Gran Canaria. The project is for a UK based company focused on helping businesses make better use of renewable energy. This is a senior role and requires someone with a deep understanding of the full software development life cycle and the ability to apply that knowledge to complex projects. The project is built on Microsoft stack (.NET, Azure, SQL Server) with a React frontend. Our ideal candidate can comfortably work on the whole stack, but .NET is the key expertise we are looking for.If you are passionate about writing quality code and want to work in a friendly collaborative team and be continually learning using the latest technologies, this could be the perfect position for you.What will you be doing?You'll be working on a platform that helps businesses with their energy needs. From pricing to usage and renewable sourcing, you'll be contributing to the efforts businesses are making to reach their net-zero targets. Energy is crucial to any business and so we take code quality seriously. You will write tests, participate in code reviews, and proactively apply best practices with colleagues on a daily basis. On a typical day, you might find yourself:Designing and developing high-volume, high-performance, high-availability applications.Developing and unit testing code deliveries.Interacting with business teams to ascertain requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Producing and maintaining technical documentation.SkillsExtensive knowledge and working experience of:.NET CoreC#SQL ServerGitAzure technologiesDevOps - CI/CDUnit Testing (xUnit.NET)Verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce good quality internal documentation. English B2 Level (Upper Intermediate). Front end development (React) is a plus!ExperienceExperience in applying excellent coding standards, Solid Principles, etc. Full Stack Developer, utilizing the Microsoft Stack including .NET, C#, .NET 6, and ASP.NET Core/MVC. Supporting and troubleshooting Azure cloud integrations. Experience in designing and building APIs and web services that interface with other systems. Agile/Scrum environment experience. Front end development using JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus!
