Job Title: Therapy Development Consultant Spain Reports To: Regional Sales Manager SpainLocation: Barcelona, Spain Abiomed, an innovative medical device company, is focused on recovering hearts and saving lives.
We have a single guiding mission: "Patients First." Responsibilities Therapy Development : Establish Impella & Heart Recovery as the new Standard of Care in Spain through brand establishment and training MDs & hospital staff on appropriate use of Impella ensuring excellent clinical outcomes.
Account Management/Account Training : Enable and drive patient growth and clinical performance in key centers throughout Spain.
Execute strategy with distributors, implement clinical activities, and establish a transparent case reporting in SalesForce.
Execute Abiomed distributor customer training programs to develop/expand physician skills for Impella adoption in active and new sites.
Patient Support : Improve patient outcomes by implementing latest Abiomed clinical strategies, supporting distributor clinical staff within the cath lab, OR, and ICU.
Perform After Action Reviews with MDs following each case and establish peer-to-peer networks across the region for best practices.
Plan regular visits to institutions with active Impella programs to monitor activity and collect clinically relevant data in SalesForce.
Distribution Partners Support : Establish strong relationships with distribution partners in Spain.
Execute quarterly meetings and After Action Reviews to monitor progress and ensure continuous learning and improvement.
Ensure weekly communication with distribution partners to align and ensure they meet Abiomed's expectations.
Escalate findings to the Regional Sales Manager Spain on a weekly basis.
Job Requirements Clinical/technical experience in interventional cardiology or intensive care.
3+ years of direct patient support in a Cath Lab, ICU, or CCU required, preferably in MCS technologies.
Established relationships/network of Interventional Cardiologists and Cath Lab staff across Spain.
Ability to work in a team environment required.
Availability for emergent patient care required.
Experience delivering demonstrations and successful trainings.
Ability to travel 80%+ within the region required
