The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Standard Duties as a Maintenance Team Leader:Own the departmental area (Safety, 5S, Machine Availability, PM's, etc).Learn and utilize Gensuite to upload, track and follow up on safety incidents (be familiar with the Safety policies).Execute and follow up on the safety IIR root cause analysis process.Understand core team's KPI's and what drives these results.Communicate and help solve actions around these KPI's and how they can be improved.Complete and support training for all new hires/transfers in the department area.Complete hand off's (review current and pending work) with other maintenance team leaders during shift change.Verify Dispatch data is accurate/current by end of shift.Maintain the weekend and on-deck OT coverage rotation list.Assist the supervisor with managing overtime for the team and your department.Email an end of shift recap to the supervisor and submit by end of shift.Provide team support within the department by effectively conducting start shift meetings, floor coverage, status of open orders and identifying training needs/opportunities for team based off observations and communication.Encourage and facilitate the ongoing improvement of accuracy and organization of technical documentation (PM's/instructions/drawings/manuals).Foster positive working relationships with other departments (Engineering, Production, GSM, etc).Actively participate in leadership developmental activities provided by BorgWarner.Support the team with staffing needs by being involved in the recruiting and interviewing process.Own the performance of the departmental team.Identify and communicate skill developmental training opportunities for maintenance teams.Utilize company tools to escalate issues/performance.Effectively partner and communicate with the management team.Other duties defined by the management team.Standard Duties as a Maintenance Technician:Perform complex periodic maintenance on automated and other production systems and equipment using knowledge of solid state circuitry, electronics, electrical-mechanical devices, motors, wiring diagrams and schematics, computers, etc.Troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, inspect, and test a variety of production systems and equipment.Perform equipment failure analysis and preventive maintenance.Work with the engineering staff and outside vendors regarding equipment installation, upgrades, and parts.Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts
