- Advise on structural flood protection measures (e.g., drainage systems, retention basins, and other green infrastructure) to manage runoff, including preliminary sizing of the protection measures to ensure adequate space for implementation in the layout.
- Advise on non-structural flood protection measures, such as simple delineation of floodplain zoning according to water height and velocity, proposing restrictions on PV development in areas prone to damage.
- Propose erosion control measures such as vegetation covers, mulching and matting, and contour ploughing for agrivoltaics projects.
- Propose sediment control plans including silt fences, sediment basins, etc.
- Work with the PV engineers to implement proposed solutions in PV park designs at the development stage.
- Advise on the most appropriate location for heavy equipment according to the preliminary flood risk assessment, e.g., transformer stations and substations.
- Advise on minimum heights for electrical equipment according to the preliminary flood risk assessment, e.g., PV modules, string inverters, etc.
Minimum Requirements: - Master's degree in Hydrology/Water Resource Engineering or a similar degree.
- More than 3 years of experience in hydrology.
