.About us:We are the independent expert in assurance and risk management.Driven by our purpose, to safeguard life, property, and the environment, we empower our customers and their stakeholders with facts and reliable insights so that critical decisions can be made with confidence.As a trusted voice for many of the world's most successful organizations, we use our knowledge to advance safety and performance, set industry benchmarks, and inspire and invent solutions to tackle global transformations.About Energy SystemsWe help customers navigate the complex transition to a decarbonized and more sustainable energy future.We do this by assuring that energy systems work safely and effectively, using solutions that are increasingly digital.We also help industries and governments to navigate the many complex, interrelated transitions taking place globally and regionally, in the energy industry.About the role:Our Energy Systems business unit in SEMELA (Southern Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Latin America) is seeking a Hydrogen Engineer.SEMELA Hydrogen Team is growing quickly to meet the expanding demand for expert hydrogen advisory services in the region.We support utilities, regulators, developers, owners and lenders with feasibility studies, technical due diligence, conceptual design & procurement support, and independent technical advisory services.As a technical expert, you will be supporting your team with your knowledge on Hydrogen technologies for delivering technical advisory services across the SEMELA region.You will also be involved in the development of energy models for hybrid solutions including Renewables, Energy Storage Systems, Hydrogen production and Hydrogen derivatives.Your main tasks will focus on:Developing and maintaining hydrogen production models in Python.Executing or managing Hydrogen related advisory projects, including feasibility studies, technology review, technical due diligence, conceptual design, technical specifications, procurement support, EPC/O&M contract review, design review, construction progress monitoring, testing and commissioning, report writing, presentations, and courses.Extending your external network and identifying sales and market-led opportunities for energy storage, generating leads, quality proposals, and closing deals in cooperation with the Market Area Managers for the region.Analyzing new business opportunities, gathering market intelligence and ensuring distribution of knowledge among relevant colleagues.Building an internal network to gain and share knowledge and opportunities.Most of the work will be desk-based, but (international) travel for site and customer visits will be required at times (estimated at 5% to 20% of your time, depending on the projects you are involved in).This position will be based in one of our offices in Spain (Madrid, Zaragoza or Barcelona)
