As a Hydraulic Technician, you'll be diving headfirst into a physically demanding role that keeps the heart of the vessels pumping smoothly.

There will be occasional travel throughout the Mediterranean and Europe to support other businesses.During travel periods, you will receive time and a half, rather than the time and one-third you will receive when staying away from home.
If you thrive in a challenging environment where every twist and turn brings a new opportunity to showcase your skills, then this is the role for you.Are you the right person for the job?Demonstrated expertise in Mechanical Fitting, encompassing maintenance, assembly, and repair work on bearings, gearboxes, generators, pumps, and other mechanical equipment, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses.A proven track record in hydraulic and mechanical fitting, particularly with pumps, will be eligible for increased rates.
This includes expertise in servicing motors, cranes, winches, and various other hydraulic and mechanical equipment.Must be physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks, including lifting, moving, and handling of equipment and supplies as required for the role.Familiarity with marine vessels, equipment, and systems, including knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.Ability to diagnose and resolve hydraulic system issues efficiently, utilising diagnostic tools and techniques.Proficiency in performing maintenance tasks, such as inspections, lubrication, and fluid changes, as well as conducting repairs and replacements as needed.Experience in installing new hydraulic systems, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and functionality, and commissioning them for operation.Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure the well-being of oneself and others in the marine environment.Capability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, as well as compiling technical reports as required.Effective communication with colleagues, superiors, and clients, providing clear explanations of technical issues and solutions.Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians, engineers, and crew members, especially in emergency situations or during complex repairs.Capacity to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and environmental conditions typical of the marine industry.A proactive approach to identifying potential problems before they escalate, and implementing preventive measures to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.What will your role look like?Servicing of onboard hydraulic systems in line with manufacturer guidelines and in keeping with class and flag requirements.Troubleshooting and repair of faulty hydraulic systems using a range of diagnostic methods.Warranty assessment, claim and refit as required.Specifying and installing upgraded systems during the refit process.Creating and submitting service and condition reports for both internal and external stakeholders.Attending operational yachts to carry out immediate repairs as required.Why join our client?Innovation at its core: Be part of a team that constantly pioneers innovative designs to meet the specific challenges of their clients.
