WHAT YOU'LL DO: Climate & Sustainability (C&S) is a fast-growing Practice Area (PA) and a driving force for BCG's ambition to become the most positively impactful company in the world. As part of our commitment to protecting the planet and helping clients achieve sustainable competitive advantage, BCG is deepening and broadening its focus. C&S brings together more than 550 experts covering the full range of climate and sustainability topics, including biodiversity, circular economy, decarbonization, sustainable agriculture, transition financing, water management, and other ESG topics—across all industry sectors—to support our clients around the world. The C&S consulting market is developing at an unprecedented pace across industries and around the world and will continue to grow rapidly in the coming years. This growth provides excellent opportunities for personal and career development.
As a PA Manager in BCG's Climate & Sustainability Practice Area, you will be in charge of the effective and professional planning and delivery of the PA's day-to-day operations and core support processes, in close collaboration with our C&S Management Team and your colleagues in other PAs and BCG's functions. In addition, you will lead and drive large ad-hoc projects and events. As the PA manager, you will be the first point of contact for BCGers across C&S and the "face of the PA," helping colleagues navigate the C&S universe and bringing our "C&S DNA" to life through your interactions. You will also lead our PA Senior Coordinator and support their ongoing on-the-job learning and development.
Key responsibilities include:
Act as a key thought partner and innovation driver to the GPMD and broader PA Management Team, ensuring that the various PA parts collaborate closely and effectively.
Drive the continued professionalization of our core processes and infrastructure, including budget planning/tracking, affiliation management, key communication platforms/tools, etc., ensuring ongoing best practice exchange with other PAs at BCG.
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of large meetings and events (e.g. C&S Global meetings, FACs, WWOMs, Leadership Team offsites, etc.), including on-site event management, handling the interface to BCG's Meetings/Events team and leading the on-site support team. Own budget management, steering committee meeting preparation and facilitation, virtual meeting hosting, etc. Ensure each of our meetings brings our "PA DNA" to life and is delivered in line with our convictions and commitments (e.g. regarding emission reduction).
Lead other large PA projects as needed.
Act as the "PA Concierge" who enables our affiliates to navigate the C&S PA and network and broader BCG organization effectively across a broad set of topics and questions.
Act as a line manager to the PA Senior Coordinator (and potential future additions to the team, including interns, coops, etc.) and ensure close collaboration with other Managers and Coordinators in the C&S domain.
YOU'RE GOOD AT:
Driving complex, ambiguous projects, events, or processes that routinely require independent judgment, trade-offs, or prioritization.
Independently collaborating with other functions on initiatives/recurring issues to find solutions or establish best practices.
Staying calm under pressure, prioritizing effectively, and driving to results.
Demonstrating expert mastery of the full suite of PA related, technical and quantitative skills/tools.
Structuring and interpreting large data sets, drawing conclusions for leadership discussions based on your own analysis and capturing your analysis and recommendations on easy-to-understand output materials (e.g. PowerPoint decks).
Showing robust business/content understanding.
Leading others and mentoring junior team members.
Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS):
6-8 years of relevant experience (preferably in a professional services environment); Master's degree preferred.

Ability to multi-task and operate effectively in a matrix organization.
Very strong written and verbal communication skills (including native or near-native English skills).
