Together with our clients, we're helping to deliver the energy transition globally.Overview of roleThe Energy Unit, specifically the Transmission & Distribution division are recruiting an HVDC Control and Protection Engineer to join our HVDC team. You'll work with the existing HVDC team on all matters and projects relating to HVDC projects.Workload will vary based on business needs and trends of the market but mainly it will cover the stages of a typical HVDC project:Feasibility StudiesSpecification preparationTechnical Bid ReviewDesign AssuranceDesign ReviewSite and FAT visitsOEM Support ServicesSite pre commissioning and commissioning oversight supervisionTechnical expert servicesCandidate Specification:Showcase experience in HVDC, ideally with an OEM, Consultancy or Owner.Demonstrate a good understanding of control/networking hardware, cubicle design & drawings, HMI design, protection basic principles, HVDC Control & Protection.Have a working knowledge of the operational technology, common communication protocols utilised in substation and HVDC systems, and the SCADA systems.Possess good understanding of HVDC control & protection Engineering and Design System Studies.We are actively recruiting a diverse workforce that is reflective of the communities we serve.
