Join a leading mechanical company as an HVAC/R Technician, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring that equipment operates efficiently with minimal downtime for clients.
Position Overview: The HVAC/R Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring that equipment operates efficiently with minimal downtime for clients.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems, evaporative condensers, ice machines, water pumps, compressors, air handlers, electric motors, and HVAC units to ensure proper functionality and minimize callbacks.Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems to optimize performance and reduce downtime.Complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.Travel across Eastern Massachusetts as needed to provide on-site services.Support other duties and projects as assigned by management.Essential Skills and Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC/R.EPA Universal Certification (Required).Clean driving record and valid driver's license (Required).Experience with VRF systems and grocery store refrigeration (essential).HVAC/R Certification preferred but not required if strong experience is demonstrated.Refrigeration technicians may also qualify if they hold an EPA certification.Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.Proven ability to deliver quality results.Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients.Professional attitude, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.Willingness to be on call during nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.Commitment to integrity and ethical conduct in all situations.Working Environment: This position requires physical stamina and adaptability to handle the demands of diagnosing and repairing equipment in various settings. Candidates should be prepared for physically active work and a fast-paced environment.
