Senior React Native Engineer Location: Madrid - 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

ROLE: This new role within the Ebury Technology team presents a unique opportunity to shape and build our first React Native team. As an early-stage project, you'll have the chance to craft a ground-breaking mobile experience with genuine ownership, building Ebury's mobile presence from its foundation. You'll work with industry-standard tools and technologies and help us define what great looks like for our mobile apps. As a Mobile Engineer, you'll work in a small, autonomous product squad alongside Backend Engineers, API Engineers, Product Designers, and Product Managers.
You'll report to an engineering manager who will meet with you every week for a 1:1; their mission is to help you develop and grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supporting the overall company and Digital goals.
Ownership of our React Native mobile app.
Management and coaching of a junior developer.
Collaborate across disciplines to test hypotheses and make a difference to customers through the delivery and iteration of new app functionality and experiences.
Stay up to speed on the latest mobile development practices, tools, and frameworks.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
REQUIREMENTS: +7 years of proven working experience in software development, with a portfolio of released mobile applications.
Proven track record as a React Native Engineer.
Experience with Java/Kotlin Android development or Objective C/Swift iOS development.
A solid understanding of the deployment lifecycle for both Android Play Store and iOS App Store.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
