About Ironhack
Ironhack is an education startup that was founded to disrupt the way tech education works! Doesn't it seem odd that we've been learning the same way since the Industrial Revolution? Virtually all industries are pushing the limits on how to do things faster, better, and more efficiently. Yet, for the most part, people feel stuck on a 4+ year (and usually quite expensive) path that often results in an unfulfilling career path. We empower students to create a new path - one that leads to meaningful careers in software development, product design or data analytics in a fraction of the time and cost of traditional education. Our higher purpose is to transform the education space to be unapologetically outcomes-driven.

Whether students are looking to change careers, get a promotion, skip University, or start their own company, we work tirelessly every day to make sure this path is as quick, immersive, and accessible as possible. Hearing these success stories is what gets us out of bed each day, excited to come to work :) It's with this mindset that we've become one of the key global players in bridging the digital skills gap, serving both those looking to get into tech, as well as the companies hungry for tech talent.

Quick facts
- Founded in 2013 by Wharton and Harvard grads
- Operations in Miami, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Mexico City, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Sao Paulo and Berlin
- 100% YoY Growth (help us to keep it going!)
- Graduated over 10,000 students
- 100+ global team members
- Venture capital backed

A large part of the success of Ironhack depends on our engaged, mission-driven, highly effective teams. The People Operations and Culture Associate (referred to in many organizations as an HR Specialist) is a critical role to ensure we have world-class People processes that effectively engage, develop, incentivize, and retain top talent.

We're looking for a People Ops and Culture Associate who will help us ensure flawless execution of talent management and HR operations processes globally as we continue to grow. The People Ops and Culture Associate will report to Paulina Cruz (People Ops and Culture Manager) and will be an integral part of our larger People organization.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring accurate record keeping of current + historical employee data (contracts, payroll, compensation/title changes)
- Documenting and standardizing People processes + policies (internal mobility, title changes, vacation policy, employee handbook, disciplinary policy, onboarding/offboarding)
- Centralizing and standardizing onboarding + payroll + benefits globally
- Creating reporting structures to enhance the People team's analytical capabilities
- Working with the People Lead to improve Ironhack's talent management process (annual appraisals, talent mapping, L&D programs, employee value proposition)
- Assisting the Talent Acquisition team in creating scalable recruiting operations (compensation benchmarking, process templates, workflows, reporting)
- Serving as a point of contact for complex employee relations issues, including employee conflicts and employment matters
- Collaborating with our legal teams and local leaders to ensure labor law compliance across all markets
- Assisting the People and Culture Manager in administrative matters related to company communications, audit compliance, praise/recognition, and engagement.

Is this you?
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience in a fast-paced environment (including payroll, employee record keeping, HR operations, labor law compliance, and training/development)
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems (we use hiBob)
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken) - professional working fluency in English is a must
- Comfortable embracing a culture of constant experimentation
- Really positive, upbeat and social
- Encouraged by challenges and enjoy having tons of autonomy!
- A do-er - the moment you get out of bed, you're getting stuff done.

Also really nice if you have...
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or GPHR certification
- HR experience in a multinational startup
- Certification or demonstrable experience in coaching and/or conflict management
- Understanding of European labor laws strongly preferred
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese strongly preferred
- Experience building and implementing employee onboarding and engagement programs.

Perks
- Competitive salary
- Hybrid work environment: come to our campus 1-2 days per week and work from home the rest of the time as you like
- Tons of amazing events with our students and community of instructors
- Learn to code, design, or analyze data: enroll in our part-time courses for free!
- Access the best network of gyms and fitness activities with Gympass
