Human Resources Director @Luxury Hotel HR, Organisation and Quality Barcelona (Spain) Ref: AV64712423 September 30, 2024 HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND TOURISM FUNCTIONS Your mission as Director of Human Resources is to direct and coordinate all duties related to the Human Resources department, including recruiting, employee benefits, wage and salary, job evaluations, personnel counseling, employee relations, and the creation and implementation of formalized training programs for all personnel. Your functions and responsibilities include: As a member of the Executive Committee, assist top management in the formulation of personnel policies. Labour relations: Manage and handle all disciplinary matters as well as negotiations with the committee, employees disciplinary warnings, sanctions, collective negotiations with the work council and the unions. Recruitment: Direct employment activities, ensuring that qualified employees are recruited for the property. Payroll and administration guidelines and policies: Conduct the payroll process accurately. Develop the wage and salary program; ensuring wages are competitive to the market. Employee incentive related events and awards, planning of social functions, end of season parties, and holiday events. Reporting and analytics: Maintain and update necessary personnel records and employees. Complete reports requested by ownership on a monthly/quarterly basis. Complete turnover reports on a monthly basis. Performance Management Program: performance appraisals, development, and progressive disciplinary procedures. Culture, values and ensure employees' wellbeing and environment are aligned: Establish an "Open Door Policy" with employees to ensure the atmosphere is one of management involvement. Continually assess employee morale by analyzing absenteeism and turnover records, conducting yearly Employee Surveys, lateness and resignations; conducting exit interviews; and interviewing employees periodically to ascertain possible trouble areas. Aid Supervisors in evaluating existing personnel as a basis for rewarding, analyzing promotion possibilities, helping to correct errors in performance, and discovering talent and unused abilities. Coordinate health and benefit programs. Training and development: Monitor and evaluate employee orientation programs. Develop and implement formalized training programs for all personnel. Competitors benchmarking and networking in HR in the region: Conduct research into other hotels' Human Resource programs and activities and recommend changes and/or innovations where desirable. Build and maintain relationships with other DHRs in the area to understand the local area when it comes to wages, unions, etc
